When selecting embroidery specific hot melt film, the specifications of the hot melt film should be considered based on factors such as the width of the embroidery machine model, the density of embroidery needles, the purpose of the embroidery product, and the fabric. If necessary, unconventional specifications can be customized to better use and control procurement costs. When purchasing, the following points should be considered:

　　1. The number and density of embroidery needles are the main factors determining the hot-melt film. Generally, the more needles (the denser the density), the thicker the hot-melt film should be used;

　　2. The width of the hot melt film is mainly based on the effective working width of the embroidery machine. We recommend that you choose a hot melt film that is 3-5cm wider than the width of the embroidery machine for better use. If the purchase quantity does not meet the manufacturer's minimum order quantity, you can choose a hot melt film that is one level wider;

　　3. The length of the hot melt film is the most secondary factor in procurement, and its determining factor is mainly the convenience of transportation, handling, and operation time. When producing hot melt film, it is generally controlled between 10-18kg;

　　4. The grade of hot melt film is the main factor affecting the cost of hot melt film. When purchasing hot melt film, the use of embroidery products should be mainly considered. If it is used for export products or directly exported, it is best to choose AAA grade. If embroidery is used for domestic products, A2 grade hot melt film can be selected to control costs;

　　5. The color of the fabric and embroidery thread is the determining factor of the color of the hot melt film. If the fabric and thread are white, transparent or white should be used. If the fabric or embroidery thread is dark, black can be selected. Red, yellow, blue, green and other colors can be customized;

　　6. When purchasing, factors such as the model of the glue press, effective working width, rotational speed, and heating temperature should also be considered;

　　7. If you can choose the material of hot-melt film when purchasing, it is best to use PE plastic (polyethylene plastic, English name: polyethylene, abbreviated as PE plastic). If it is PO plastic, because PO plastic has a higher temperature and difficulty than PE plastic, it will reduce the level or yield of embroidery products. Some embroidery factories use agricultural film instead of hot-melt film for embroidery. Agricultural film is made of PO plastic and mostly recycled materials, which has a great impact on the quality of embroidery products. It is not recommended to use agricultural film instead of hot-melt film for embroidery.
