Key points for purchasing embroidery water-soluble film:

When selecting a water-soluble film for embroidery, the specifications of the film should be considered based on factors such as the embroidery machine model, embroidery needle density, embroidery size, embroidery purpose, and whether fabric is used. If necessary, unconventional specifications can be customized to better use and control procurement costs. When purchasing, the following points should be considered:

1. The selection of water-soluble film for embroidery should consider the number of needles and density of the embroidery product to determine the specifications of the water-soluble film. Generally, the thicker the film, the more needles (the denser the density) it is necessary to use;

2. The width of the water-soluble film is mainly based on the effective working width of the embroidery machine. It is recommended to choose a 3-5cm wider water-soluble film than the embroidery machine width for better use. If the purchase quantity does not meet the manufacturer's minimum order quantity, you can choose a water-soluble film that is one level wider;

3. The length of water-soluble film is the most secondary factor in procurement, and its determining factor is mainly the convenience of transportation, handling, and operation time. When producing water-soluble film, it is generally controlled between 10-20kg per roll;

4. The color of fabric and embroidery thread is the determining factor of the color of water-soluble film. Manufacturers generally only produce water-soluble films in natural colors. If the fabric and embroidery thread are dark, black, red, yellow, blue, green and other colors can also be customized (but the order quantity needs to be large, and most factories are unwilling to make colored films);

5. We also need to consider the softness and hardness of the water-soluble film. Generally, soft film is used in low humidity environments, while hard film is used instead. However, soft film is relatively easier to control as the hard film is prone to cracking;

[Note: Changes in the softness and hardness of water-soluble films caused by humidity and temperature changes are normal and the manufacturer will not handle them as quality abnormalities.]
